Summer Camps

The goals of the OAR middle and high school summer sculling camps are to develop skills, provide fun experiences on the water, build confidence, and foster a love for the sport. New rowers to the sport learn how to row while returning rowers take a slight break from the racing spring/fall racing seasons to have fun out on the water.

Middle School
Middle school summer camps are designed to give rising 7th and 8th graders the opportunity to scull in boats appropriate for their physical development and in a social setting appropriate for their age group. Coaches work with rowers to help them learn sculling skills, feel comfortable, and gain confidence in a fun, no-stress environment. These camps will be taught in small classes with a small coach-to-rower ratio.

High School
High school summer camps are designed to give rising 9th to 12th graders the opportunity to try the sport of rowing in a social setting appropriate for their age group. Coaches work with rowers to help them learn rowing skills and feel comfortable and confident in a fun environment.
